Handsome, Art & Fashion: I was lucky to be invited to a very glamorous evening in London and guess who was there? My favourite photographer & friend, ‘Man About Town’ the handsome Alistair Guy. It was so funny as I rang to see if we could fit in a quick cup of tea on my way (something we often do) only to find that we were going to the same event!
Handsome, Art & Fashion: The Blain|Southern Gallery is a contemporary art gallery with branches in London and Berlin and we were at their latest exhibition showing archive photographs by German Film Director Wim Wenders. Famous for films such as Paris, Texas, Wings of Desire, Buena Vista Social Club and WIngs of Desire. He often shot spontaneously on film locations and was particularly keen on the authenticity of photographs that have not been altered and scenes that have not been staged or directed. Wonderful images in a wonderful space.
Handsome, Art & Fashion: What did I wear for such an evening? I wore my new Zara leopard print dress. I’d been looking for one for a while and although I had been prepared to pay more when I found it I knew it was what I’d been looking for and cost £15. As it has been so cold I teamed it with my much-loved leopard leggings that I’ve had forever to keep me warm and comfy shoes for all that standing up. Over the top, I wore my &OtherStories fluffy coat – the warmest cosiest coat I’ve ever had. Along with a bright orange scarf, favourite necklace and earrings, I felt very happy in my outfit proving that High Street fashion and old favourites can take you all sorts of places and events.
Are you confident to mix it up and wear High Street fashion and old favourites? What has been your favourite find or much-loved item? Do let me know in the comments below as I’d love to hear.
